On Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) this coming Monday, September 29, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC, comedian Kevin Hart will be a judge for the episode Movie Night! He will be taking over from the usual DWTS judge, Len Goodman, who is taking a break from the show for a few weeks. Reportedly, during this hiatus, there will be other celeb guest judges filling in for Goodman until he returns to the show.
Though Kevin Hart, 35, is not a renowned expert on dancing like Len Goodman, he is an accomplished entertainer who will likely bring a lot of fun to Monday night’s episode. Hart did compete recently in a dance-off on The Ellen DeGeneres Show with actor Josh Gad. He has starred in several successful hit movies, like Ride Along, Think Like a Man and Think Like a Man Too and the Wedding Ringer.
Len Goodman, who is 70, usually flies between America and England each week because he is also a judge on the English version of the show, Strictly Come Dancing. Goodman loves to both dance and judge these shows, but, as fellow DWTS judge Bruno Tonioli said to Parade, all the traveling that Goodman does ever season “does take its toll.”
Tonioli is also a judge who is on both DWTS and Strictly Come Dancing. Goodman is often considered to be one of the harsher judges. If Kevin Hart shows a bit more leniency than Len, there might be somewhat higher scores this Monday than usual.
Besides judge Bruno Tonioli, Kevin Hart will be joining DWTS judges Julianne Hough and Carrie Ann Inaba as they all view the remaining 11 celebrities and their pro dance partners compete for the chance to become the season winners. The couples will be dancing to songs from their favorite movies on Monday’s episode.
Kevin Hart will likely fit in well with the other three judges, as what he lacks in dancing expertise will probably be made up for by his wit and comedic skills. He is rarely at a loss for words and Hart will likely have a lot to say about each of the couples on Movie Night on DWTS.
DWTS on Monday will begin with a big dance number involving all of the remaining celebrities and their pro dance partners. While the songs that the dancers will perform to have not yet been announced, it is expected that actress Lea Thompson and Artem Chigvintsev, her pro dance partner, will dance to a song from one of the movies Thompson starred in, Back to the Future.
How will comedian Kevin Hart do filling in for Len Goodman on DWTS? It is too early to say for sure, though the evening is likely going to be a fun-filled one as the remaining 11 celebrities on Dancing with the Stars try to make it to the end of the season and win the coveted Mirrorball Trophy! Please leave comments below and tune in on Monday to DWTS!
