Google Nexus Rumors Fueled as Nexus 7 Goes Out of Stock

Google Nexus

The Google Nexus rumors have fueled again after the Nexus 7 went out of stock on the Google Play Store. It could be a sign that something new is coming, and many will hope that it means either the Nexus 8 or 9 (also given the name HTC Volantis). It could be perfect timing considering new phones and tablet devices will be hitting the market by competitors soon.

A device going out of stock is often the sign of something new coming. Companies want to get rid of the old stock as soon as possible, and will refrain from buying new stock. The Nexus 7 will just sit in stock rooms should a new Google Nexus device be released. There is no point in wasting money.

The Nexus 7 has been out of stock for a few weeks now. There were reports at the start of August that the device was out of stock, but Google had announced that new stock would be ordered soon. Something similar happened earlier in the year when the Nexus 10 went out of stock, suggesting that a second-generation device was coming out soon. The Nexus 10 also went out of stock again by the middle of August, fuel more rumors.

Six weeks later, and the Google Play Store is out of the popular device. This time, the Nexus 7 is completely out of stock, fueling the Google Nexus rumors again. The tech giant has not yet confirmed whether this is a sign that the device is being discontinued.

It would be strange to discontinue this device. It is extremely popular with tablet users, despite now being a year old. The only reason for the company to continue not getting any more in is if it expects a new device on the market, and really expects it to fly off the shelves.

Current Google Nexus rumors suggest that the Nexus 8 will be out during the third quarter of 2014. There is not much time left if that is the case, but the news that all version of the Nexus 7 device are currently out of stock can only be taken as a good thing at this time. It is certainly possible that the tech giant is focusing on releasing the new tablet, as it did last year; without any hype.

This is a good time for the company to release a new tablet. It will hit the markets just before all the sales, to build up interest from those looking for new tech devices. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are just around the corner, and are extremely popular periods for sales of laptops, smartphones and tablet computers.

Google has not yet confirmed anything, but it is highly suspicious that all Nexus 7 devices are now completely out of stock. The fact that the tech giant said there would be new 7s available the last time it was out of stock in August makes it even more suspicious. All eyes are on the news for the Nexus 8 or 9 to be released, as Google Nexus rumors have been fueled again with the Nexus 7 going out of stock once more.
