Child Sex Crime Investigation Leads to Eleven Arrests in Manchester UK

Child Sex Crime

Eleven people between the ages of 19 and 38 have been arrested, under a collaborative effort known as Operation Heliodor, in the Greater Manchester, UK area, following an investigation into alleged child sex crimes. At this time, those who were arrested are being held under suspicion of abduction, inciting a child into prostitution, sexual activity with a child, attempted indecent assault and rape.

The Greater Manchester Police Department is working diligently alongside others in the community including child and health services to put a stop to the sexual exploitation of children. These arrests followed months of investigative and intervention work that took place in the Longsight and other areas within Manchester.
