The announcement has been made that former player Gary Rowett will be leaving his position at Burton Albion and taking over as the new boss for Birmingham City. He will be taking over for recently dismissed manager, Lee Clark. He will be bringing several from his training staff with him in the move to Birmingham. He is taking over a struggling club, sitting second from the bottom in the Sky Bet Championship table. Their most recent match saw an 8-0 defeat at the hands of Bournemouth at home. Rowett is hoping to carry the success he has seen in Burton in the last three years to the new club and make an immediate impact. His first match as manager will be Saturday against the Wolverhampton Wanderers.
