Google Nexus Rumors Fueled Further With Android Ads

Google Nexus

Google Nexus rumors have been fueled further due to a number of Android ads. The advertisements were seen on YouTube, and show Andy the Android showing off various size phones. However, there was still no confirmation of any new Android devices. That came later in the day.

The advert did show a larger version of a phone, which many speculate is the Google Nexus 6. The phone is expected to jump into the phablet world with a 5.9-inch display. Google needs to do something to take on the phablet competition of Samsung, especially now that Apple has released its iPhone 6 Plus.

Andy the Android’s main focus was on the new operating system, Android L. The larger device was seen operating the new system, and the slogan suggests that all devices will start running on the new system. Android L was rumored to appear towards the end of the year, another reason for the delay in release of new Nexus devices. Google is expected to release the Nexus 6 or Nexus 8 or 9 (two options for tablets) as the first devices to run Android L.

People hoping for new devices were not disappointed yesterday, either. The fueled Google Nexus rumors from the Android ads finally came to some confirmation. As expected yesterday, Google confirmed the release of two devices that have been rumored since towards the start of the year.

The first was the smartphone, the Nexus 6. It has the expected 5.9-inch display to compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note series and Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus. The second was the 8.9-inch tablet, which has been confirmed as the Google Nexus 9. This will be great news for those looking to switch their Nexus 10 device, or those looking to upgrade the Nexus 7.

Rumors circled last year that the second generation Nexus 10 was coming. However, nothing appeared as each date passed. It led to the question whether there would ever be a second generation of the larger device. It seems that Google always had the plans to downsize the screen a little to compete with the 8-inch devices already on the market.

The 5.9-inch display for the Nexus 6 is going to be one of the largest smartphones available at the moment. It comes close to the Galaxy Note 4 from Samsung. The iPhone 6 Plus measures in at 0.4 inches smaller.

Google shared a new device that was not rumored as much as the smartphone or tablet. The Nexus Player has also been confirmed, which will be Google’s answer to Apple TV. There is a gamepad available to work with the set-top box too.

The Nexus 9 and Nexus Player can be pre-ordered from Friday (October 17), while the Nexus 6 will be available from October 29 for pre-order. The expected date of Halloween was not that far off, and it is perfect time to avoid much of the competition from Samsung and Apple.

Many will be happy to hear that the new devices have finally been confirmed. The further Google Nexus rumors after the Android ads finally proved to have some truth to them.
