Halloween celebrating in Beijing is not highly appreciated by the local police force, as they have warned subway riders from wearing Halloween costumes. State-run newspaper said this Friday that the costumes could cause “trouble” or “panic.”
The paper also said that local police have the power to arrest anyone that intends to “upset order.” Authorities hope to avoid any safety concerns such as a stampede. Subway riders heavily dressed up to celebrate October 31 will need to be aware of the extra safety concerns.
