New Orleans Police Have Warrant in Attempted Murder Investigation

policeThe police department in New Orleans has announced that they have received a warrant in conjunction with an investigation involving an attempted murder from Monday morning. Reports indicate that the police responded to a domestic violence call on Monday morning and are now searching for 39-year-old Jose Lagos in connection with the stabbing of his girlfriend. The victim told responding officers that she and her boyfriend got into an argument and he proceeded to stab her multiple times in the stomach.

A passerby was able to stop the attack but Lagos was able to escape. He is said to have gotten into a red Nissan Sentra and driven away from the scene.

The New Orleans police have a warrant and are seeking any information on the whereabouts of Lagos in connection with the attempted murder investigation. When Lagos is found he will be charged with simple battery as well as attempted second degree murder.
