Pittsburgh Schools Evacuated for Bomb Threat

Pittsburgh

The Trafford Elementary and Middle Schools in Pittsburgh have been evacuated because of a bomb threat. A note written in a bathroom stall claimed that there was a bomb located in one of the school’s lockers. Students were immediately evacuated and transported to the High School, where parents will be able to pick up their children. The school district released a statement online saying that they had conducted a thorough search of the buildings using police dogs and found no evidence of an explosive device.  The evacuated children are scheduled to eat lunch at the High School, and then be returned to the Trafford schools by 1 pm local time to finish the school day.
