Variety reports that the world renown physicist Stephen Hawking recently viewed a screening of The Theory of Everything, a biopic film about his life starring Les Misérables actor Eddie Redmayne and was rather impressed with the outcome. Hawking stated that the film was “broadly true” and it is said that a nurse had to wipe a tear from the physicist’s eye after the screening.
The scientist has been a long-time survivor of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and due to his complications, only communicates through a voice amplifier that is computer-generated. The film is produced by Focus Features and is due for a release on Nov. 7.
