gamesDespite the fact that this year is far from being over with regards to eagerly anticipated game releases, several gamers already have their eyes on the 2015 gaming horizon. Since several graphical powerhouses are priming to release games, which will allow them to show off what the Xbox One and Playstation 4 can really do, it increasingly looks like 2015 will be one of the best years for gamers ever.

However, PC users should not feel left out, since the humble home computer has never been in a stronger position. The fact is that almost every major release is hitting both PC and consoles, so the troubling situation from the past really improved. The following list is taking a look at the 9 most anticipated games of 2015 (in alphabetical order).

1. Batman: Arkham Knight

Game will be released on February 24, 2015 and it will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Batman: Arkham Knight will be developed with Rocksteady Studios’ direct involvement, just like Asylum and City. Because of that, it is far more likely that this third sequel of Batman will match up to the high quality of the first two games. In Arkham Knight, Batman is at the peak of his abilities, as he is fighting against the villainous Scarecrow and his forces. The Arkham Knight should be one for Batman fans to get excited about, since the levels, which were involving Scarecrow in Arkham Asylum were the best parts in the game.

2. Halo 5: Guardians

Halo 5: Guardians will be an Xbox One exclusive. The game is still a mystery and it will most likely remain this way until its release next year. However, the gamers should get an understanding of the new characters in the Halo Nightfall digital series, which will be launched this fall alongside the Halo 1-4 collection.

3. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

This open-world action stealth title just might be the most anticipated title from the acclaimed series so far. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be available for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. The graphics of the game are already shaping up to be pretty incredible, as they will be featuring some of the smoothest animations that the gamers have ever seem. A massive world and several drivable vehicles are the addition of a day-and-night cycle, which should offer an even more open-ended gameplay experience than ever before. When it comes to gameplay, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is looking to be one of the first true next generation games.

4. Red Dead Redemption 2

According to the latest rumors about the eagerly anticipated release, the game will be released in Fall 2015 and it will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. However, there are almost no information about the game, since Rockstar is working on the game right now.

5. Rise of the Tomb Raider

The Tomb Raider reboot from 2013 somehow managed to revive the dying franchise as the creators made Lara Croft’s adventures relevant again. Rise of the Tomb Raider, which will be available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC and PS4, is the sequel and despite the fact that there were no official information, Crystal Dynamics promised that they will put the tombs back in Tomb Raider. If this is true, then this sequel of Tomb Raider might be exactly what the fans are eagerly waiting for.

6. The Division

The Division was supposed to be on store shelves this year, however, it was delayed to 2015. The official statement said that they are creating something that they are really proud of and they do not want to compromise on quality. Ubisoft did not give many hints about the game, but the creators did unveil the first of The Division‘s enemy factions, called The Cleaners.

7. The Order: 1886

Despite the fact that it is not going to be released until 2015, The Order: 1886 had a major presence at E3. This game will be a PS4 exclusive title and it is set in an alternate history London, in which terrifying monsters exist. An ancient order of knights is protecting people from this monsters and they are the only thing that is standing between these strange creatures and the human kind. The Order is a standard third-person shooter game in several respects, however, the unique weaponry, the cinematic visuals and the potential for a worthwhile story are all good reasons for the gamers to be excited about this PS4 exclusive.

8. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released on February 24, 2015 and it will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Wild Hunt looks like a mixture of everything that the CD Projekt RED learned while they were creating this awesome franchise. Judging from the gameplay footage, the animations and graphics are better than ever before and this time, the game will take place in a big open world. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt looks compelling, vast and beautiful and it surely looks like the first game in a long time that could genuinely take the elusive title of ‘best RPG ever made’.

9. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Despite the fact that the reboot of Tomb Raider might have been impressive, even its greatest moments could not really match up to the Uncharted series cinematic glory. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be an exclusive for the Ps4 and it will be a direct continuation of the original trilogy. According to Naughty Dog, the narrative will push Drake’s physical limits and he will ultimately have to show what he is willing to sacrifice in order to save his loved ones. Judging from previous Uncharted games, Uncharted 4 will be a big test of the PS4’s capabilities and it will be throwing players on an exciting ride along the way.

Since each one of these games is already showing great promise, they will most certainly be far more than just an entertaining distraction.
