A search operation is underway for the pilots of the Virgin Galactic SpaceShip Two after reports that an in-flight anomaly during a test flight caused the aircraft to go down. The SpaceShip Two is designed to hold six passengers, but only the pilots were on board during this test. Parachutes were seen in the air, according to reports which have not yet been confirmed, but authorities are apparently still attempting to locate the pilots. A Blackhawk helicopter is said to have been launched to join in the search efforts. No details about the “anomaly” have been released as of yet, other than that it took place approximately six minutes into the flight.
