Adrian Peterson Given Probation in Child Abuse Case

Peterson

Adrian Peterson went to court today before Judge Kelly W. Case for his much-publicized child abuse case, and pleaded no contest to the charges. He was given a $4,000 fine, community service, and probation after saying that he regretted and accepted full responsibility for the incident. The plea bargain reached with prosecutors reduced the charge to a misdemeanor simple assault down from felony child abuse charges. The charges originally stemmed from an incident where he allegedly used a switch to discipline his 4-year-old son.
