The Facebook page for the MTV European Music Awards (EMAs) has officially confirmed that DJ, record producer and singer Calvin Harris will be a no show at the annual musical awards show, celebrating the best music in the world. This year, the MTV EMAs will be held in Glasgow, Scotland. The host will be singer Nicki Minaj. Ozzy Osbourne will be receiving the Global Icon Award. The MTV EMAs can be seen online at the MTV EMAs web site, below, or can be viewed either on MTV or MTV2 beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. CT.

Calvin Harris, 30, according to the MTV EMAs Facebook page, “sends his sincere apologies” for not being able to perform at the awards show. A representative for MTV stated that Calvin Harris would not be able to perform at the annual event celebrating the best in music “due to illness.”

The exact nature of the health problems has not been mentioned, but Calvin Harris wrote in a Tweet that he had “some heart problems.” He added that he was on his way “home to see if it can be fixed.” Hopefully, the health problem is not a very serious one, and Calvin Harris will be feeling better and back to performing soon.
