Ferguson Unrest Already Led to 29 Arrests

Earlier today the case in Ferguson, Mo. reached a conclusion when the Grand Jury unanimously decided that officer Wilson was not to be charged with the murder of 18-year-old Michael Brown. The decision has surprised and insulted many.

The Brown family was saddened by the verdict, yet they still urged concerned communities to remain peaceful in protests. Stricken with one tragedy is still better than multiple tragedies.

The town, as well as the internet, has been in an uproar. Ferguson had their highway blocked and Police Chief Jon Belmar said that at least a dozen buildings had been set ablaze. In addition, more than 150 shots have been fired, zero of which were from the local police force. However, local police have used tear gas multiple times throughout the evening. So far the communal unrest has led to the arrest of 29 individuals. The aftermath has not only affected Ferguson but neighboring suburbs such as Dellwood, Mo.
