Kosta Karageroge, the Ohio State Buckeyes Defensive Lineman was reported as missing on Wednesday. The 22-year-old sent a few texts the day he went missing to his mother that mentioned recent concussions having left his head feeling messed up. Another concerned text read, “I’m sorry if I’m an embarrassment.”
According to his roommate he left Wednesday evening to go for a walk, he was noted as being dressed entirely in black and left after 1:00am. It was the last time he was seen.
Roughly 100 people gathered together on Friday to search for the missing Ohio State senior. Near campus, behind the apartment complex he lived at, Karageorge was found dead in a dumpster. A handgun was also found and Karageorge looked to have a self-inflicted fatal wound.
The Universities Athletic Department left a statement mentioning the Karageorge family and all of the thoughts and prayers that are going out to them during this tragic time.
