Florida Teen Joyride Ends in Crash

Florida

In Orlando, Florida, a teen taking a joyride in his family’s 1999 Acura ended up with the teenage boy crashing into a home, according to a Breaking News report by WPTV and the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP). stated. The boy took the car without his parents’ permission or knowledge, apparently wanting to have a good time; but, the ride ended up in a crash, instead.

The teenage boy was driving near the Florida Mall in Orlando on Evangeline Avenue. He lost control of the Acura. The teen drove up the driveway of a house, then hit an open carport. The car did not come to a stop until it was in the laundry room of the home he had crashed into, according to the police.

The teen’s joyride could have led to much more disastrous results, if he had ran into anyone either previous to the crash or inside the home. No one within the house was injured, though, and the teen boy and a passenger, who was 12, also did not suffer any injuries.

According to the FHP, there are charges that are pending against the teenage boy. The joyride that ended in a crash is still under investigation by the Florida police.
