Grand Theft Auto V fans have been waiting for Rockstar Games to deliver heists for a long time, finally it seems good news is near. After searching through the inner workings of the last patch, one individual found information about not only heists, but an unannounced themed holiday content pack as well. Both have not been confirmed, yet quite a few details reveal what could very well be coming in the next few weeks.
The news comes as a rumor, as Rockstar Games has yet to announce or confirm the existence of this new downloadable content. The news originally came from modder NillxModz, who rooted through the December 8 patch until he discovered something unexpected. What he found was considered rather serious because his PlayStation Network account was banned. Two main things were discovered: Holiday DLC and Heists.
While the holiday content should be ready just before Christmas (December 23), it is not known if heists will be ready at the same time or if they will come later, knowing Rockstar Games they will probably come later. This is not much of a surprise, as fans have been waiting for heists for a very long time. The holiday themed content on the other hand seems very much like something Rockstar would be happy to give to gamers for free right before the holidays.
The layout for the heist content has the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 listed as the consoles that will be getting the content. A new leaderboard will appear that will show which heist missions have been completed. Six different heist missions will take place across four unique locations. Some of these locations will feature new textures for added effect. There will be five missions for Cops and Crooks that will take place across four unique locations.
Three new vehicles were discovered, their official names have not been discovered, but two are currently tagged as Sports and one is tagged as Classic. Five new hairstyles and two contact lenses were found. Names are not currently known, but three heist related clothing items were found. A new contact named “Jeff” will resurrect a dead Crew member during a heist mission if called. BZ Gas is an item that will appear in Ammu-Nation stores, however it can only be used during heist missions.
A few things were found to be only for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version of Grand Theft Auto V, they include a new apartment that features two characters running CCTV function, and two masks themed for Cops and Crooks. Those on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation will be able to Email crew members about heists, the person that does the emailing is dubbed leader of operations. Improved anti-cheating methods.
Grand Theft Auto V is still doing very well and Rockstar Games has been working hard to keep it prevalent. Ultimately, fans have been holding out for the promised heists to come to Grand Theft Auto Online. Finally, it seems there is some evidence that Grand Theft Auto V is close to getting the promised content and at the very least will likely get free holiday themed content.
