Megan Fox is okay after the collision on Thursday, according to husband Brian Austin Green. The two were hit by a drunk driver, and were lucky to be able to walk away from it. The drunk driver also reportedly survived and was able to get out of the vehicle after hitting the air bag.
Green spoke about the crash afterwards, saying that it was a life changing experience. He explained how he is still going over the moments leading up to it, wondering if there was anything he could have done differently. He is also grateful that he and his wife were able to get out of the crash.
The Hollywood couple have two children, Noah and Bodhi. They are two years old and nine months old respectively. Neither were in the vehicle at the time of the collision. Green has son Kassius, 11, from a previous relationship, who was also not in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Green mentioned that he has a moment of “Thank you, God.”
The Los Angeles Police Department has not commented on the details of the collision. However, a spokeswoman has confirmed that the crash was due to a drunk driver, who was arrested following the crash. Green was at a Night of Generosity gala the next day. With Fox not there, people questioned if she was okay. Green states that even though he is not a doctor, he believes that Fox and himself are okay after the collision. They are walking, and that is what counts for him.
According to reports, the actors were travelling around Benedict Canyon Drive and Mulholland Drive, heading south. The suspect was travelling in the opposite direction and lost control of his vehicle. He then crossed over the road, into traffic travelling towards him, and hit the actors. There were no injuries reported at the time of the accident.
Ignacio Demaria was the suspect driving the other car. The 35-year-old was arrested at the scene, charged with DUI, driving under the influence. He was more than twice over the legal limit, according to reports from TMZ.
Fox met her 41-year-old husband while starring on Hope & Faith. She then married him in 2010, in a secret Hawaii wedding. Children followed shortly after, and they are said to be very happy together.
Green’s most renowned role is that of David Silver on Beverly Hills, 90210. Fox has had the most successful career out of the two, appearing in Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The 41-year-old actor explained that Demaria was travelling at around 50MPH at the time of the incident. His own vehicle was travelling at around 25MPH, and the collision was head-on. They were all very lucky to be able to walk out of the crash without major injuries. However, they were shocked and are going over everything that could have happened.
The 28-year-old actress has not yet spoken about the incident. She was in the passenger seat at the time. However, Green has said that Fox is okay after the crash, and is presumably spending time with her two boys.
