The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) have an annual award ceremony and the 2015 list is now open for everyone to see. The competition is tough, as only five awards are given for the entirety of film. Outstanding performance as lead role for both male and female get awards, as does the most outstanding performance for supporting role for both male and female. That alone takes up four of the available five awards for movies.
The final movie SAG award does not go to an individual, but an entire cast. Having a cast that works with synergy throughout every character is quite difficult to select as well as manage. Only a truly flexible group can walk away with such an award. Multiple films from 2014 had groups that could have played host to this prestigious award, but In the end the award went to the cast of the 2014 film Birdman or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance.
