Coachella Lineup Will Include Drake, AC/DC, and Jack White

Coachella

Coachella 2015 will be over two consecutive weekends in April this year in Indio, California, and the lineup that was announced on Tuesday includes both epic rockers of yesteryear and some of today’s hottest musical acts ranging from Drake to Jack White to iconic rockers, AC/DC. Audiences are sure to be “thunderstruck,” by the wide variety of musical acts as AC/DC kicks off the annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Friday, April 10. They will also perform the following Friday, April 17.

Other groups who will be performing on the same nights that AC/DC headlines are the Alabama Shakes, Steely Dan, and Interpol, a rock band from New York City that formed in 1997. AC/DC released a new album, Rock or Bust, just a month ago, in December.

Some fans started to think, based on last year, Coachella was turning into an occasion for a giant rave, when there were a lot of EDM musical dance acts that took the stage, like Disclosure and Calvin Harris. However, this year, Coachella will be starting off with veteran rockers

Jack White, formerly of The White Stripes, will also headline two nights of Coachella, April 11 and 18. White’s songs include Freedom At 21, Would You Fight For My Love?, and I’m Shakin’. On those dates, other musical acts will include FKA Twigs, Belle and Sebastian, and Weeknd.

On April 12 and 19, Drake will be the headliner. Some of Drake’s hits are Take Care, Money to Blow, Best I Ever Had, and Every Girl. Joining him will be Kaskade, Ryan Adams, Florence and the Machine, and others.

Besides the musical acts already mentioned, ticket holders will also be able to check out Tame Impala, Ride, the War on Drugs, Mac DeMarco, Jamie xx, Angel Olsen, Azealia Banks, Ghostface, Flying Lotus, Panda Bear, Run the Jewels, Swans, Tyler the Creator, Built to Spill, Parquet Courts, Lykke Li, Father John Misty, Cloud Nothings, Lil B, the Olsens, Perfume Genius, Drive Like Jehu, Hozier, and many more.

There will be a new supergroup at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, for instance, formed by members of Skream and Eats Everything, Jack Master and Seth Troxler. EDM acts Alesso, Kaskade and David Guetta will also be performing.

Attendees to Coachella 2015 may wonder if they should bring lighters or glow sticks. Why wonder — bring them both, and celebrate as great music blasts forth from the speakers.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2015 will have a wide variety of music this coming April. Musical acts like veteran rockers AC/DC and Steely Dan will likely bring out an older audience the nights they perform, though both are still attracting new fans every day. Drake and Jack White have been around for a few years, as well, though they are relative newcomers compared to Steely Dan and AC/DC. Coachella 2015 tickets will go on sale at 3:00 p.m. ET tomorrow, Wednesday, January 7. A wise move would be to snap up the tickets while they last!
