The 72nd Annual Golden Globes Awards 2015 show was the third consecutive one that was hosted by the brilliant comediennes, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. The awards show was held at the Beverly Hilton, in Los Angeles, California, on NBC. Though many actors, actresses, directors, and movies were nominated for Golden Globes, only the best were chosen as the winners, like Boyhood. To find out who the winners were, read on!

The Golden Globes Awards show opened with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler doing a comedy routine, and roasting some of the actors and actresses in the audience. Tina Fey called them “despicable, minimally talented, spoiled brats.”

Tina and Amy made jokes about The Interview, and Amy said in Wild, Reese Witherspoon “did all her own walking.”

Tina then made a joke about Amal Clooney, and all that she has accomplished as a lawyer, adding “So, tonight her husband is getting a lifetime humanitarian achievement award.” George will be receiving the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Humanitarian Achievement Award later tonight.

Benedict Cumberbatch and Jennifer Aniston presented the first of the Golden Globes Awards. It was for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture. The winner of the award was J.K. Simmons for Whiplash.

Dakota Fanning and Jamie Dornan from the upcoming movie, Fifty Shades of Grey, then presented the Golden Globes Awards show award for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Mini-Series or TV Movie. It went to Joanne Froggat for her acting in Downton Abbey.

The next Golden Globes Awards show award presented was one for the Best TV Movie or Mini-Series. The winner of the award was Fargo (FX).

The Golden Globes Awards show award for Best Actor in a Mini-Series or TV Movie award went to Billy Bob Thornton for his role in Fargo. “In this day and age, you can say anything in the world and still get in trouble,” he said. “So, I’m just going to say, thank you.”

The Golden Globes Awards show Best Actress in a TV Series, Musical or Comedy award then was presented. It was won by Gina Rodriguez for her acting in the TV series, Jane The Virgin. She was breathless and excited, and started to cry as she happily accepted the award.

The Golden Globe for the Best TV Series, Musical or Comedy was the next award presented. Transparent (Amazon) won the award.

The Golden Globe for Best Original Score was won by Jóhann Jóhannsson, for the musical score of The Theory of Everything. He said he wanted to “share the award with the musicians and technicians who helped create this score.”

Prince then presented the Golden Globe for Best Original Song. It was won by Glory, written by John Legend and Common, from the movie, Selma.

The Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Miniseries or TV Movie was won by actor Matt Bomer from The Normal Heart.

Ricky Gervais took the stage. He presented the Golden Globes Awards show award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy. The award went to Amy Adams, from Big Eyes, who played artist Margaret Keane.

The next Golden Globe was for Best Animated Film. All of the movies nominated were pretty cool ones, but the winner was…How to Train Your Dragon 2.

Jared Leto (Suicide Squad) presented the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture. Patricia Arquette, who played Olivia in Boyhood, was the winner of this award.

Kristin Wiig and Bill Hader presented the Golden Globe for Best Screenplay. The winner of the award was Dinelaris and Armando Bo, for writing the screenplay of Birdman.

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin (Nine to Five) were the presenters of the Golden Globes Awards show award for Best Actor in a TV Series, Musical or Comedy. Jeffrey Tambor, for his role in Transparent, won. It was his first time nominated and his first win.

Then, the Golden Globes Awards show award for the Best Foreign Film was presented. The film that won was Leviathan (Russia).

Kate Beckinsale and Adrien Brody were the presenters of the Golden Globes Awards show award for Best Actress in a Miniseries or TV Movie. The actress who won was Maggie Gyllenhaal, for her acting in The Honorable Woman.

Paul Rudd and Adam Levine were the next presenters, for the Golden Globes Awards show award for Best TV Series, Drama. The Golden Globe went to The Affair.

The Golden Globes Awards show award for Best Actor in a TV Series, Drama was presented next. The award was won by Kevin Spacey, for his acting in House of Cards. He said “This is just the beginning of my revenge!”

Julianna Margulies and Don Cheadle presented George Clooney with the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Humanitarian Achievement Award. They both joked about who was George Clooney’s closest friend. Don said “He has been nominated in more Golden Globes categories than anyone in history.”

Harrison Ford was the next presenter, of the Golden Globes Awards show award for Best Director, Motion Picture. The Golden Globe was won by Richard Linklater for Boyhood.

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris were the next presenters. The Golden Globes Awards show award they presented was for Best Actress in a TV Series, Drama. The award went to Ruth Wilson, for The Affair.

Amy Adams presented the Golden Globes Awards show award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy. It was won by Michael Keaton for his superb acting job in Birdman. He gave an amazing acceptance speech, and said that his best friend “also happens to be my son, Sean.”

Robert Downey, Jr. presented the Golden Globes Awards show award for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy. It was won by The Grand Budapest Hotel.

The Golden Globes Awards show award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama was presented by Matthew McConaughey. Julianne Moore, who acted in Still Alice, won.

Then, the Golden Globes Awards show award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama was next. Eddie Redmayne, who played physicist Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything, was the winner.

The final and biggest Golden Globes Awards show award of the night, for Best Motion Picture, Drama, was presented by actress Meryl Streep. The movie that won was Boyhood.

The Golden Globes Awards show this year was great, but it is sort of sad that it will be the last one that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will co-host together. That might change, in the future — who knows? One of the night’s biggest winners was Boyhood, though Fargo, Transparent, and The Theory of Everything also did well. Please leave any comments below!
