Bethenny Frankel is working on launching a strain of marijuana that is a dream for weight watchers that loved to be stoned. Frankel built Skinnygirl products into a multi-million dollar empire. She is now branching out into the marijuana business seeking pot that does not come with the usual munchies. The housewife plans to offer her product in states which have already legalized recreational marijuana.
Frankel has grown to become a household name. She is a reality TV personality, author, talk show host and entrepreneur. In addition to her very successful Skinnygirl line of cocktails, she has authored four self-help books and hosted a self-named talk show. The mogul has appeared on The Apprentice and The Real Housewives of New York City (RHONY) and was the subject of another reality television series titled, Bethenny Ever After.
For anyone that loves to smoke weed but cannot afford the extra pounds that often accompanies the activity, Frankel’s mission is about to become their answer. Reportedly, she was seen out walking in the famous Green Dragon Dispensary doing market research. Bethenny has done her homework and knows how profitable the cannabis industry is. She wants in on that business. While in the Rockies the housewife tweeted:
OMG, it is the craziest thing to see marijuana legal in Aspen. People are walking into pot stores like it is the gap #prohibitiondone.
The Bravo star plans to peddle her brand in states such as Colorado, Washington, Oregon and Alaska. As more states join the bandwagon to legalize marijuana Frankel intends to hit those locations as well. She believes the biggest issue for female recreational marijuana users is all those munchies that can “totally make you fat.”
The 44-year-old said she knew The Real Housewives of New York City would not last forever; no show does, so she began preparing an endgame early on. This is where her role as an entrepreneur kicked in. Frankel’s Skinnygirl products have been incredibly attractive in the eyes of the female consumer. Her line of Skinnygirl nutritional supplements, with partner Matt Hesse, saw wholesale orders top $1 million in the first quarter while shape wear brought in $5 million.
Bethenny attributes the success of her brand to the formula she established with strategic partners. Her partners are the experts and she is the media person, marketer and the face of the brand. It works because they all know their respective roles.
Recently the star was under fire for her weight again. She is constantly having to defend herself against critics who say she is entirely too thin. Frankel wastes no time reminding her audience that she has a Skinnygirl brand that she needs to be the living embodiment of. She did admit that she was sick over the holidays and may have lost some weight.
The entrepreneur is back on RHONY after replacing her friend Aviva Drescher as a cast member. Fans are hoping that Bethenny gets her Skinnygirl marijuana grown in time to host a sampling party for the next season of the show. One fan said:
No one needs to chill out and get stoned like that crew of ladies.
Bethenny Frankel is planning to expand her multi-million dollar empire to include a strain of pot that does not prompt the munchies. This is a dream for weight watchers that love to be stoned but cannot afford the extra weight. The Bravo star is targeting the states which have already legalized recreational marijuana but will expand as opportunities arise.
