Samsung Group welcomes the year by introducing new screens in both TVs and PC – the SMART LED signage, second-generation SMART Signage TV and ATIV One 7 Curved PC at CES 2015. The international Consumer Electronics Show will be in Las Vegas on January 6 to 9.
CES 2015 will have Samsung Electronics’ CEO and President BK Yoon, as one of the keynote speakers. The event will also witness Samsung’s demonstration of continuing design and innovation as it helps people explore fresh possibilities through screens that are both business- and consumer-oriented, perfectly matching each usage, said SVP Seok-Gi Kim of Samsung Group’s Visual Display Business.
Samsung’s booths at CES will showcase innovative display screens which are optimized for various usage environments. Booth No. 11906 Tech East, LVCC, Central Hall will have the most recent display screens for four zones– SMART LED Signage, Restaurant, Hotel and Office. There will be an experiential area, where guests will be able to create digital menus and try out the new Signage solutions.
The curved and UHD displays will add elegance in an office environment, while in the SMART Hotel zone, guests will experience improved connectivity which highlights in-room control where they connect to the hotel TV wirelessly with various IT products. In a SMART Restaurant zone, the SMART Signage televisions for both medium- and small-sized will be good tools to promote the company’s offerings.
The South Korean electronics titan is taking curved screens seriously. Samsung Group has been in the forefront of curved screen innovation, and introduced several curved TVs since 2013. Last year, it launched an adjustable curved TV which enables users to twist the screen’s curvature through the remote. In the smartphone department, the Galaxy phone maker debuted the world’s first curved screen smartphone, Galaxy Note Edge, at IFA 2014.
The curved screens offer comfortable and engaging viewing experience, which match the natural curve of the human eyes, like the 32-inch SES590C and the SE790C, which is in 29 or 34 inches. There is also the SE510C in 24 and 27 inches, as well as the TV-ready TD590C. CES 2015 will also see the Advanced Micro Devices FreeSync-compatible UE590 and UE850 UHD screens, which were announced last November.
Aside from curved TV screens, Samsung Group will introduce new screens not only in TVs, but in a PC as well at the CES 2015 event, as the Asian firm will apply the concept to PC monitors this year. CES 2015 will see the introduction of ATIV One 7 Curved PC, the world’s first all-in-one 27-inch display PC. The full high definition 1920 x 1080 pixels screen will offer vivid colors and a 178° viewing angle, courtesy of its curved shape. It brings the screen’s four corners closer to the viewer’s sight in the center.
The PC has a metal frame with a glossy design at its rear, and a nice-to-the-touch curved silver stand. There are built-in 10W pair speakers and it is capable of lossless audio transmission via APT-X. Under its hood is an 8GB RAM and an Intel Core i5 processor. Running the PC is Windows 8.1, which comes with some of Samsung Group’s added features.
Indeed, Samsung Group has some exciting new ideas for the consumers this year, as it will introduce new screens in TVs and PC at CES 2015. It is said the ATIV One 7 Curved PC will already be selling in the U.S. this quarter for $1,300.
