Ben Carson, a retired neurosurgeon and former left-wing Democrat, is a Tea Party favorite positioning himself as a potential nominee for the 2016 presidential election. He signed on to be in the political race as Amy Pass, a former member of the Newt Gingrich political team, will be the national finance director. He has the support of a group of conservative followers, however, Carson would like to be placed on the Republican ticket.
Carson recently spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) during which he shared his views in several areas. He announced the essence of his leadership as he addressed the need to cultivate our natural resources, move leadership forward on the world stage, accelerate school choice, and dissolve the IRS. He spoke out against Obamacare comparing it to the nation’s slavery days. Additional areas of concern for Carson are downsizing the government, taking control of the national debt, being more focused toward the ISIS terrorist groups, and working more closely with those who are dependent on economic assistance.
