Netflix is continuing to add new movie and TV viewing options available for streaming in February 2015. The streaming service will continue to offer subscribers a vast variety of entertainment options that include Netflix original content, new TV show and movie releases, as well as classic programming, as it expands its extensive library with viewing options made available via streaming media. Here are some of the new viewing options available for streaming on Netflix in February 2015.

On February 1, new titles available for viewing on the streaming service include the CBS long-running seminal hit series M*A*S*H (seasons 1-5), which debuted in 1972 and ran for 11 seasons. The series achieved the highest-rated series finale rating in U.S. TV history in February 1983 with its final episode entitled, “Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen,” which registered a record-breaking 125 million viewers (60.2 Rating and 77 Share). The show focused on the lives and exploits of a medical unit during the Korean War. The series starred Alan Alda (The West Wing), Mike Farrell (Providence), and David Ogden Stiers ( TV’s The Dead Zone). Additional new titles being added to Netflix on February 1 include 2008’s The Brothers Bloom, which starred Adrien Brody (The Pianist), Mark Ruffalo (The Avengers), and Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardner), as well as 2005’s Proof, which starred Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler) and Gwyneth Paltrow (A Perfect Murder).

If viewers are interested in some classic movie options, 1958’s Houseboat, which starred Cary Grant (The Philadelphia Story) and Sophia Loren (El Cid), is also among some of the new viewing options available for streaming on Netflix in February 2015. In case movie lovers missed its addition last month, another classic film that has been acquired by Netflix is 1952’s The Quiet Man, which starred Maureen O’Hara (The Parent Trap) and John Wayne (Hatari!).

On February 7, two Hollywood heavyweights in the form of Shirley MacLaine (The Apartment) and Christopher Plummer (The Sound of Music) join forces in 2014’s Elsa & Fred, which was added on that date. The film centers around two unorthodox adults with complications that find love later in life.

Some of the mid-month new viewing options available for streaming on Netflix in February 2015 include the 2014 blockbuster hit film, Earth to Echo, which is a modern-day version of E.T. and joined the streaming service on February 18. On February 19, Shailene Woodley (Divergent) and Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: SVU) co-star in 2014’s White Bird in a Blizzard. This new addition is based on a true story, which centers on a young woman’s discovery of the circumstances surrounding her mother’s disappearance. The film offers quite a departure for both actors involved.

As winter rages on, Netflix has many new viewing options available for streaming in February 2015. Additional new titles that will help round out the streaming media giant’s offerings for viewing in the month devoted to love include the 2014 reboot of RoboCop, which starred Joel Kinnaman (The Killing) as the modern-day avenger and joined the Netflix library on February 21. On February 24, the first four seasons of the CBS reboot series Hawaii Five-0 (2010) became available for streaming on Netflix. Meanwhile, on February 27, the streaming service will conclude the new additions for the month with the much-anticipated arrival of the third season of its own original, blockbuster series, House of Cards. The show stars Kevin Spacey (American Beauty) and Robin Wright (Message in a Bottle) as Washington, D.C. movers and shakers with lethal political ambitions. The series has become a major ratings and critical success for the streaming service, as well as an awards grabber. While the weather outside remains frightful, Netflix is continuing to add new movie and TV viewing options available for streaming in February 2015 to keep viewers entertained.
