UKIP Parliament Candidate: Stop Aid to Failed States & Foreign Dictators

The UKIP Parliamentary Candidate for West Lancashire, Jack Sen, wants Britain to stop sending wasteful foreign aid to Asia, Africa and beyond. Sen said, “It is a disgrace that we continue to send billions overseas, when the Lib/Lab/Con regime asks Britain’s elderly and most vulnerable to turn their heat down, fails to provide our nation’s military with proper kit, proposes taxing people inheriting their parent’s homes and punishes the poor in my community with a bedroom tax.”

According to Sen, the money sent to parts of Asia and sub-Saharan Africa, including South Africa, are “egregious examples of Britain’s wasteful foreign aid program,” and “destructive on a multitude of levels.” South Africa, once one of the world’s wealthiest nations, has been reduced to ruin by one corrupt government after the next.

Sen pointed out that “millions of South Africans live on less than one sterling a day, townships have little or no running water and hundreds of Afrikaner squatter camps have been constructed to accommodate the poor,” while aid sent is exploited by the nation’s leadership who use the aid to build private mansions instead of uplifting the poor and needy.  Sen said that “taking hard-earned money from British taxpayers in the form of overseas benefits while South Africans starve is immoral and altogether unacceptable.”

When asked how much Britain spends annually on foreign aid, Sen said it was over twelve billion pounds, with almost twenty million pounds alone handed to South Africa. Although the money “gifted to South Africa is earmarked for fighting HIV infection, and providing the poor with clean water,” it appears it’s being pocketed by private organizations and their cronies in government, and not being given to the people for which it is intended.

Sen stated that South Africa was just the tip of the iceberg, pointing to the £250 million his government gifts economic power, India. In fact, Sen pointed out that although India has more billionaires than Britain, it continues to receive massive amounts of foreign aid. Interestingly, a granddad of Sen’s was of Indian origin and served the British Raj as a medic in the British army. Sen said his criticism of his government’s failed policies stems from his belief in “doing right by his nation” and has absolutely nothing to do “with being an isolationist” or being anti-something.

Jack Sen, the UKIP Parliamentary candidate for West Lancashire is also just as critical of the European Union, calling Britain’s membership in the EU and the waste incurred, “criminal.” Sen said, “I’m just tired of seeing our nation’s wealth plundered by Leftist bureaucrats and their cronies in charity industries and government-subsidized Quangos. If foreign aid actually resulted in clean water and reduced HIV infection, or our (Britain’s) membership in the EU turned the nation a profit, that would be one thing, but they don’t, so the waste needs to stop.”

Sen was asked to briefly describe UKIP’s policy on foreign aid, and replied, “Quite simply; UKIP’s official policy is to cut waste. Our 2015 Policies for People document states that UKIP will cut the foreign aid budget by £9bn per annum, prioritizing disaster relief and schemes which provide water and inoculation against preventable diseases. We Britons are truly generous-as evidenced by the fact we give more in foreign aid than any other European nation and would never want to hurt people. We just have a moral obligation to see our own citizens taken care of first, our taxes are kept at fair rates and our budgets balanced.”

The British Department of International Development is currently examining how the foreign aid budget is spent. In addition, it is considering plans to cut the £280 million sent to India each year, as well as aid sent to South Africa.

And just how much British foreign aid was spent on the costly upgrade of President Jacob Zuma’s once humble home in the village of Nkandla? The stately home includes Astroturf sports fields and tennis courts, a gymnasium, and a high-tech security system. Roads leading to Nkandla roads have benefited from a further £40 million of improvements. While the rest of the community are forced to wade through mud on their way to communal toilets and drinking wells, rife with disease and misery.

This should not surprise anyone.Every president in the rainbow nation of the New South African democracy has done the same; Zuma has just done it publicly. Remember, Zuma cannot be charged with corruption, as corruption “is a Western concept not an African one.” The African National Congress (ANC) elite have plundered the once prosperous nation, while profiteering from the racial discord and societal division needed to keep the country’s people squabbling among themselves.

The poor and destitute, who the ANC claim to champion, are left hungry and destitute under the African sun, while the elite peer at them through tinted glass and the comfort of their imported 4×4’s. “UKIP’s intent to stop foreign aid to failed states and foreign dictators will not only save Britain money, it will tell our leaders that enough is truly enough.” As Jack Sen said, “it would be better to utilize the money at home and improve the livelihood of the British people than waste it abroad. Next time Zuma buys a German automobile, he should heed this fabulous advice.”
