Chemical Spill in Pembroke Dock, Firefighters on the Scene

Firefighters and local law enforcement officials are now on the scene responding to a possible chemical spill that has occurred at the Waterloo Industrial Estate in Pembroke Dock, Wales. Multiple Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Services emergency vehicles are at currently shutting down the area around the industrial estate, while decontamination units are containing the possible spill. According to an official from the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue, a possible chemical spill has been caused. Though, this information has yet to be confirmed.

Officials stated a call came in the from the Waterloo estate at 10:40 a.m. local time. Afterwards, Pembroke Dock and Milford Haven sent two fire trucks and two vehicles that specialize in the clean up of hazardous chemicals. Several businesses near the the estate have been evacuated. According to officials, it is believed that a tractor-trailer may have caused the chemical spill.

The Fire Service has since constructed a contained zone as a precautionary measure. Local law enforcement are helping the firefighters in keeping people away from the area around the chemical spill.
