On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this Wednesday, March 4, 2015, host Jimmy Fallon welcomed his guests, the always funny actor, Danny DeVito, who is one of the stars of the hilarious TV series, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and the amazing Zoe Kravitz from the movie, Insurgent. She played a game of Giant Beer Pong with him later in the episode. The third guest on the Tonight Show was the comedian and author, Artie Lange.
Jimmy Fallon began the Tonight Show by greeting his studio audience and telling them they were “looking good out there.” Then, he did his monologue, cracking jokes about trending topics in the news, like Michelle Obama going to Japan and Cambodia next week to encourage girls getting an education. Jimmy Fallon also said that President Obama wants to establish an embassy in Cuba by early April. “When asked about them establishing an embassy here, he said they already have one. It’s called ‘Miami.'”
Jimmy Fallon joked about a cosmetics company introducing a line of cosmetics based on the movie, Cinderella, and a man who was pulled over by cops who found marijuana inside a package marked ‘Not Weed.'”
He quipped that “A DEA agent said that rabbits could become addicted to pot.” Fallon quoted the Energizer Bunny, Thumper, the Easter Rabbit, and Roger Rabbit, about what they had to say about pot.
The Roots played Jimmy Fallon to his desk, and he announced who some upcoming guests will be, like Hozier, who will be on tomorrow night. Then, Fallon mentioned tonight’s guests, Danny DeVito, Zoe Kravitz, and Artie Lange.
Then, Jimmy Fallon read sugestions from the Audience Suggestion Box. The first one suggested that he and The Roots say some serious things, followed by funny sound effects. It was a pretty funny bit. Another suggestion was what if the voice on AOL said different things, other than “You’ve Got Mail.”
Jimmy Fallon had the actual guy on the show who had originally said that, and he said things like “Uptown Funk.” Then, a person suggested picking a random person from the audience and helping him to “have even more fun,” than just watching the show.
Fallon invited a man up onto the stage and he brought out “Two Really Fun Men,” to help out. They sang The Song That Helps an Audience Member Have More Fun Song. The audience member participated in the cool comedy bit, and did look like he was having a lot of fun.
After a commercial break, Jimmy Fallon introduced his first guest of the evening on the Tonight Show, Danny DeVito. Danny danced with Fallon as he walked to his chair. Jimmy Fallon thanked DeVito for being on the show, then asked Danny if he ever had a particular kind of cookie he had on his desk that was in a wrapper.
DeVito opened it, and tried one, and said “Holy expletive!” He really loved how it tasted. DeVito and Fallon then talked about an organization that Paul Newman had begun, helping sick children.
Danny DeVito said that he had shared a dressing room with his friend, George Clooney. They did songs with the kids, like Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head.
Jimmy Fallon then talked with Danny DeVito about It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia on FXX. DeVito said he has an art project called “Troll Foot.” He took off his own shoe and took a photo of his foot. Jimmy Fallon showed some of the photos like “Troll Foot taking the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge,” and “Troll Foot on Vacation.”
Danny DeVito took off his shoe and wanted Jimmy Fallon to take a picture right there. Danny said “Get closer to the foot!” After that, the Tonight Show headed to another commercial break.
When the Tonight Show returned from the break, Jimmy Fallon introduced actress Zoe Kravitz, who stars with Shailene Woodley in the movie, Insurgent. Fallon asked her about “being a little late,” for the program. She said she had tried really hard to get there on time, but she finally made it. Jimmy Fallon then told her about having meet her dad, Lenny Kravitz, and drinking beverages called “Dark and Stormys,” with him in Jamaica.
“I am now totally in love with Lenny Kravitz as a human being,” Jimmy Fallon told Zoe. He asked her to thank her dad for having picked him and his wife up at the airport and getting them drunk. Then, Jimmy Fallon showed a clip from the movie, Insurgent. It looks like it will probably be a big box office hit when it opens.
The Tonight Show came back from yet another commercial break, and host Jimmy Fallon challenged Zoe Kravitz to a game of Giant Beer Pong. He explained the rules and Zoe went first, getting a ball in right away. Jimmy Fallon had to take a drink.
Then, Fallon tried once again, and missed his shot. Zoe missed her second shot, as did Jimmy Fallon. Finally, Jimmy Fallon got one in, and he said “Chug it all!”
Zoe Kravitz did chug her beer and Jimmy Fallon said that the next one who gets a ball in would be declared the winner. They both shot a few more balls, and Zoe got a ball into a cup before Fallon did, making her the winner.
After another commercial break, Jimmy Fallon introduced the third guest of the Tonight Show, comedian Artie Lange. He has been a frequent guest on the show, and he is always entertaining and funny. Fallon said “His latest project is called the ‘Artie Quitter Podcast.'”
Artie Lange did a stand-up routine. He said “Has anyone else noticed that Zoe Kravitz looks way more attractive than I do?” Lange joked about the Kardashians, and how living with the Kardashians and “listening to those monkeys talk,” probably made NBA played Lamar Odom smoke crack. “And we all know that Bruce Jenner lived there,” he added.
Artie Lange joked about Lamar and Bruce meeting in the kitchen one morning. Lamar confessed that living there made him want to smoke crack, and Bruce said “You should see what it’s made me do.”
“Today’s music I don’t get,” Artie Lange said. He said that he liked listening to the music of Ozzy Osbourne. Lange said that Ozzy still has to go on tour, just to support his family’s buying habits.
Lange joked about the Jay Z song New York State of Mind also, and how it is basically about becoming rich selling crack cocaine. Then, he said “Alicia Keys cuts in, singing ‘New York state of mind!'” The Tonight Show then went to more commercials.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon was basically over, except for Fallon thanking all of his guests. He had on terrific guests this Hump Day, like comedian Danny DeVito and actress Zoe Kravitz. Jimmy Fallon played Giant Beer Pong with Zoe, and got beaten by her. Then, comedian Artie Lange delivered a humorous stand-up routine. Lange had time at the end of the Tonight Show to plug his new podcast, which he said he “did from his kitchen.” He said “You can go to ArtieQuitter.com, all one word, to sign up.”
