On Thursday night, a medical helicopter crash killed one person and injured two in Eufaula, Oklahoma, according to law enforcement officer Kara White of the McIntosh County Sheriff’s Department. The medical helicopter was carrying three people. It is currently unclear what caused the crash.
The medical helicopter was carrying the group to McAlester from Tulsa. It went down around 90 miles south of its destination, near Lake Eufaula, by the Canadian River,
Three personnel from the medical helicopter transport company EagleMed LLC were manning the craft, as was reported by the Federal Aviation Authority. Investigators from the FAA were en route to the scene of the crash as of last night. Information regarding the status of the crew members and the injuries sustained have not yet been released.
The McIntosh County Sheriff’s Department is currently handing the incident for Eufaula law enforcement. An official FAA report has not been released regarding the details about the crash and how it caused the medical helicopter to go down.
