Miami Dade Police Department Joins Forces With the Center for Writing and Literature

The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) is joining forces with The Center for Writing and Literature @ Miami Dade College and The Children’s Trust in the Read to Learn Books for Free program to distribute more books to children in underprivileged communities. Nine MDPD districts will become book donation drop sites for gently used and new children’s books. The colorful donation bins will be housed at the following districts: South District, Village of Palmetto Bay, Kendall District, Hammocks District, Midwest District, Northwest District, Town of Miami Lakes, Northside District, Intracoastal District and the Fred Taylor Headquarters Building.
