Miami Police Offer Reward for Police Car Arson

Miami-Dade County Police are seeking information regarding an arson involving two police cars. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered.

The arson occurred on Friday, March 13, 2015, at approximately 5:30 a.m. Unknown individuals in the Golf View Community, located at 206 Street NE San Simeon Way, set two marked police vehicles on fire. Community surveillance cameras captured images of an unknown person or persons fleeing the area seconds before the fire occurred.

Anyone with information regarding this arson should contact Miami-Dade County Sergeant J. Avetrani at 305-994-1010 or Detective T. Hodges at 305-994-1013. If a tip leads to an arrest of the person or persons responsible, the person giving the tip may be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward. All calls will be kept strictly anonymous.
