MTV Movie Awards Nominees 2015

MTV Movie Awards

On Sunday April 12th comes the annual MTV Movie Awards 2015 show hosted by comedienne Amy Schumer. The box office hits The Fault in Our Stars, Guardians of the Galaxy and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 are among this year’s most popular nominees that viewers will be casting their votes for. The most popular categories? The ‘Best Kiss’ is definitely up there.

The Washington Post reported some of the more silly and just plain ridiculous 2015 MTV Movie Awards categories such as ‘Best Shirtless Performance’- in particular Channing Tatum’s nomination- not in Magic Mike, as most viewers might have expected- but rather the psychological thriller Foxcatcher, based on a true story. (And nominee Kate Upton in this category is simply misleading.) Rosamund Pike’s Movie Award nomination in the ‘scared’ category had many MTV fans scratching their heads as well, as did ten year acting veteran David Oyelowo’s ‘breakthrough’ nomination for his role in Selma.

Voters can cast their ballots for 2015 the MTV Movie Awards at MTV.com to pick their favorite nominee. Whether good, bad, and just plain weird, here is the full list of nominees as announced yesterday on MTV.com.
