Android 5.1 Lollipop Update

Android

Android has introduced the new 5.1 Lollipop, which is a device protection app, required by laws of the U.S to have antitheft and factory reset features on every smartphone. The Lollipop 5.1 Android update is going to be released on all Samsung phones whether they are new or old.

Release dates have not been set, but all major carriers have confirmed they are working on an update to be sent out to all Samsung phones very soon. Although Google is still working on the bug issues the update is continuously popping up on developers SDK manager.

Developers are able to see the revision to the Platform SDK in the SDK manager with a description that reads Android SDK Platform 5.1. Android’s 5.1. The Lollipop Update is known for having more than just the security feature. As more of the update gets developed and tested by developers, they are finding that it is probably the best update Android has had since Ice Cream Sandwich.

Google is using a brand new material design which is making the droid accessible to everyone. The design is a white paint job which is different from the usual dark backgrounds. The brightness offers a better visibility to typographies and grids, those that are used in darkness will have a hard time adjusting to the light, but it will be better on the eyes.

Another addition to the update is Google’s ability to consolidate a consistent, forward-thinking approach. In other words, Google has a uniform design-style that keeps the apps the same, but shows growth throughout time. The slow growth process Google takes brings the apps up to speed without any crashes or defaults.

The outside design was improved as well as the inside job of the update. For instance, Google has updated its apps to become smarter by making choices for the user before the user is confronted. More options are located in the power menu and volume buttons. The Android 5.1. Lollipop update has also reshaped the share button where your options can now be prioritized from past behaviors.

Adding further detail to the volume control buttons, Google focused the design around interruptions. Specifically, interruptions can be limited to priority apps, or interruptions can be blocked altogether. Interruptions cannot be set at with alarm clocks.

The only downfall to controlling the volume is within the media app. Media would be only controlled when media is actually playing. On the bright side, LED notification lights will blink all the time despite the profile that is in use.

An additional attraction is that accessing WiFi is no longer a hassle. Users no longer need to access the settings panels to make WiFi adjustments. Moreover, there is now a shortcut feature that allows connection to the mobile hotspot, bluetooth, and data control, which the phone will remember, save, and remove automatically if the features are not in use for more than a month. There are new ways to unlock the phone as well. The update also enables Android users to hold loads of cards.

Clearly, Android 5.1 Lollipop update has many great new features that are beneficial for all users. While the date of release has not been revealed, it only gives Google a greater opportunity to perfect the new features to allow the system to be user-friendly all around.
