Dancing With the Stars 10th anniversary special is scheduled to air on April 28, 2015 and many of the former celebrity competitors will be back. It is hard to believe that it has been ten years already and Dancing With the Stars is on its 20th season. The anniversary special is expected to be a must see event with stars past and present. It is said that even some of the former pro dancers may be making an appearance and fan favorite moments of the series will be highlighted.
The season twenty cast lineup will be performing along with about fifteen former celeb dancers and seven or so of the former pro dancers. Wetpaint promises that there will be new and exciting cannot miss routines for fans of the series. The special which began taping earlier this week will feature a dance showdown of Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy against Alfonso Ribiero and Witney Carson. Davis was the season eighteen champion while Ribiero was the champion for season nineteen. Celebrity dancers of previous seasons including Kelly Monaco, Chelsea Kane, Amy Purdy, Kristi Yamaguchi, Maria Menounos, Melissa Rycroft, Katherine Jenkins, and more will be making appearances according to the Inquisitr. Patti LaBelle, who was just voted off the show, will be back to perform her hit song “Lady Marmalade”. Karina Smirnoff, Emma Slater, and Anna Trebunskaya will perform a Latin Paso Doble during the anniversary special.

There will also be an NFL dance that features Anna Trebunskaya partnered with Emmitt Smith, Jacobey Jones, Kurt Warner, Donald Driver, Jerry Rice, Michael Irvin and Hines Ward. This will be a group dance as well. Kelly Monaco will dance with Val Chmerkovskiy, who was her partner for Dancing With the Stars All-Stars Special. Buddy TV also said that Tony Dovolani will be paired again with his All-Stars celeb partner Melissa Rycroft.
The special is said to be filled with never-ending surprises and will be a momentous occasion to honor Dancing With the Stars and ten years of fan favorite moments and star-studded performances. In another attempt to honor the tenth anniversary, Dancing with the Stars: Live! is going back on the road to give fans of the show a chance to see some of their favorites in their hometown. Melissa Rycroft who danced in the All-Stars Special and danced in a previous season of the show will host. The live tour will be called the ‘Perfect Ten Tour’ and will travel to more than 40 cities across America beginning June 13. The tour will go through August 11. Witney Carson, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Artem Chigvintsev, Peta Murgatroyd, Emma Slater, Keo Motsepe, and troupe dancers Alan Bersten, Brittany Cherry, Sasha Farber and Jenna Johnson will take part in the tour. Each live show will run for ninety minutes and fans will be treated to exciting and romantic performances that have never been seen before.
