Police in Hartford, Connecticut are investigating a body found after a shooting occurred on Mary Shepard Place. Someone driving by Saturday noticed the body lying in the parking lot. Police were called and responded to the scene on Saturday morning at 3:00 a.m.to 602 Mary Shepard Place.
When the officers arrived on the scene, they discovered the victim had a gunshot wound to the head. The officers pronounced the man dead on the scene. Police have only been able to identify the victim as a 28-year-old man from Hartford. This shooting is the eighth homicide in Hartford so far this year.
Detectives from the Major Crimes division were called to the scene. The investigation is still ongoing. Police do, however, believe that the man shot had been targeted. If anyone has any information regarding this case, please contact the Hartford Police Department.
