A bumper lay in the middle of the road after a multiple car crash at the intersection of Wayne Avenue and Wyoming Street in Dayton on Friday. Two children were taken to the hospital as a precaution. This was the site of a serious accident just 11 days ago.
On April 19, a woman lost control of her vehicle at the intersection, and slammed into two trees. Her car came to a stop on its side, and the woman was trapped inside. After emergency respondents got her out of the car, she was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Accidents have happened at the intersection in the past, and daily traffic reports have advised drivers to avoid the area for traffic-related reasons. This is also an intersection that some drivers may have avoided for a different reason. As reported by the Dayton Daily News, it has been the location of an OVI checkpoint.
More information will be released about Friday’s accident as details become available. Further details will also be released about the condition of the children taken to the hospital.
