Bobbi Kristina Brown’s life support will be switched off in the following days as she remains brain-dead, while family members have accepted the fact that the 22-year-old will not be getting any better. The only daughter of deceased songstress, Whitney Houston, was found unconscious in a bathtub at her Atlanta home on January 31, 2015. Upon being taken to the hospital, doctors had declared that the socialite was, indeed, brain-dead.
Sources for People magazine allege that Houston’s daughter was under the influence of drugs, prior to being discovered face-down in the tub that had been filled with water. The former reality star has been said to have battled a drug addiction for several years, but things worsened following the death of Houston, which sent Kristina in a downward spiral.
On January 31, when Brown was found unconscious at her home, she was believed to have taken a mixture of substances, ranging from heroin to cocaine and Xanax. It is unclear whether all of these drugs were found in her system at the same time, but family sources state that they were aware of the fact that their beloved relative had a serious drug problem.
Alcohol was another ongoing battle for the daughter of Bobby Brown. She was a serious drinker, an insider revealed. Her drinking reportedly stemmed from the death of her mother, and despite having sought help at several rehab facilities in hopes to change her life for the better, she relapsed every single time. When she was found at her home, she was already brain-dead due to the supposed 40 minutes she had spent under water. Having been against the idea at first, the family have acknowledged that Brown is brain-dead, and is better off without being on life support.
At this given time, the Houstons and the Brown family have decided that it was finally time to let the youngster rest in peace, having spent four months on life support. Doctors had told the family back in February that the 22-year-old had suffered from severe brain damage, and a recovery was almost impossible. Nonetheless, they had insisted on giving her time, convinced she would get better. According to MediaTakeOut, Brown’s only daughter to ex-wife Houston, could be taken off life support in the following days. The family has accepted that she will not be recovering from her condition, and want her to reunite with her mother.
Brown and Houston’s mom, Cissy Houston, are accountable for choosing how things are taken care of, regarding when the life support machine gets turned off. They had been told by a judge earlier this month that they are the main individuals who hold guardianship over the youngster, and her assessed $20 million inheritance.
Initial reports had asserted that Houston and the former R&B singer had been feuding over money decisions, arguing over who would be given the millions of dollars once their beloved family member was to pass away. Notwithstanding, both families have evidently set their issues aside to center their consideration on the more imperative issue, and what they accept is an ideal approach to say their farewells. Regardless, the $20 million money battle will initiate after Brown’s demise, a source immovably suggests. Houston fans have taken to Twitter following the news that the youngster’s life is set to be cut short. As Brown remains brain-dead, her life support is expected to be shut off this week by her family.
