A California woman was killed in a motor vehicle accident involving Bruce Jenner on February 7, and the stepchildren have filed a lawsuit against the celebrity charging wrongful death. Kim Howe was killed in the accident allegedly started by Bruce Jenner, driving in a Cadillac Escalade behind Howe on the Pacific Coast Highway. Jenner is claimed to have hit Howe’s car in the rear, causing a chain reaction leading to Howe’s Lexus crossing into opposing traffic. The Lexus sedan met head-on with a Hummer SUV, resulting in the death of Howe, 69, on February 7, 2015.
The suit claims Jenner was “careless and negligent,” and the distant relatives are claiming damages due to “loss of affection.” Howe had no direct relatives, and sources told TMZ that the relationship of the stepchildren to Howe was distant at best.
Jenner offered to take a blood and alcohol test at the time of the accident, and was not believed to be speeding. The lawsuit against Jenner for his fatal car accident in Malibu coincides with a standard investigation by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
