According to CBS officials, the star of Supergirl, Melissa Benoist, playing the DC Comics character Kara Zor-El, will be fighting against Bruce Wayne, played by David Mazouz. The action-adventure drama will begin in November. CBS stated that Gotham is centered around the early days of Detective James Gordon, played by Ben Mckenzie.
CBS has also announced their fall show scheduling in light of the new series of Supergirl. This is the first time that CBS action-adventure show will be aired on Mondays at 8:00 p.m. This breaks the network giant’s tradition of having comedy shows in that time slot.
The network has also switched up its fall lineup with a show airing on Tuesday night at 10:00 p.m. about a show based on the 2011 movie Limitless, in an FBI version of the film. Bradley Cooper, the main character in the movie, will make a few cameo appearances in the series.
On Wednesday’s at 10:00 p.m., CBS will premier Code Black, a emergency room-based drama. The show will features Academy Award winner Marcia Gay Harden as the main character.
The new comedy shows Angel From Hell and Life in Pieces will premier on Thursdays. Angel From Hell will feature Emmy winner Jane Lynch as a guardian angel that protects a doctor played by Maggie Lawson. The former puts Emmy winner James Brolin back in the cast of a previous family comedy.
Although CBS will be keep the rest of the schedule they had before, CSI will be ending is 15-year-old run with a two-hour TV movie. The rest of the CBS fall TV schedule is provided in the link below.
