Chris Pratt Says Some Dumb Things for Being Star-Lord

Chris Pratt

For being the Star-lord of the galaxy in Guardians of the Galaxy, actor Chris Pratt sometimes says some dumb things. Pratt, 35, unabashedly admits that dumb things sometimes slip out of his mouth, and in a Facebook post, he has even apologized for any future dumb things that he might say while he is on a press tour promoting the upcoming blockbuster, Jurassic World.

Who would have ever thought that a Star-lord would say anything that might be considered to be dumb? Pratt knows from past experiences that press tours can drag on and on, and often the same questions get repeated, and some of the questions he and other actors are asked can be inane. Inane questions sometimes practically scream for sarcastic or dumb responses in return, and Chris Pratt is just the type of person to gladly oblige.

Still, Chris Pratt wanted to let his fans know, in advance, that if any of his comments while on the press tour for Jurassic World end up offending anyone, he is sorry. Among his other comments on his Facebook page, Pratt wrote that it was not his “intention to offend anyone and I am truly sorry.”

Chris Pratt added that whenever he has said something that has “crossed the line” it will probably be at a time when he was “tired and exhausted.” Pratt has even come up with a term for the scandal that might result from a future dumb thing that he says while on the press tour, calling it “JurassicGate.”

Chris Pratt will be playing the lead role of Owen Grady in Jurassic World. It is set to open in IMAX theaters and in 3D and 2D theaters in the United States on June 12, and it is executive produced by Steven Spielberg and directed by Colin Trevorrow. Other actors starring in Jurassic World are Ty Simpkins, Bryce Dallas Howard, Irrfan Khan, Nick Robinson, Jake Johnson, Vincent D’Onofrio, BD Wong, Judy Greer and Omar Sy.

Besides starring as Owen Grady in Jurassic World, Chris Pratt will definitely be reprising his role as Peter Quill, a.k.a., Star-lord, in a minimum of two more Guardian of the Galaxy movies. Not only will Pratt be Star-lord in the sequels to Guardians of the Galaxy, he admitted in an interview with GQ that he will also be appearing in at least “another couple” Marvel movies.

Pratt’s remarks have led fans and media sources to speculate as to what the other Marvel movies might be. As Power Stones have been extremely important to the plots of the Thor and Avengers movies, as well as Guardians of the Galaxy, there is a possibility that Pratt will be in Avengers 3 as Star-lord. Thanos will be the villain of the movie, and he will reportedly be searching the galaxy to find a remaining Power Stone to make his set of Power Stones complete.

Two other Marvel movies that Chris Pratt is rumored to possibly appear in are Inhumans, scheduled to hit theaters in 2019, and Captain Marvel, due out in 2018. In the movie Inhumans, humans with super-powers will be featured, created by a race called Kree. Ronan from Guardians of the Galaxy is a member of the Kree race. The speculation that Pratt might appear in Captain Marvel as Star-lord seems to be based on Captain Marvel’s involvement with the Guardians of the Galaxy in comic books.

From the looks of all of the possible movies that Chris Pratt might appear in as Peter Quill, Star-lord, he will be potentially playing that role for many years to come, despite the fact that he sometimes says some dumb things. A Star-lord’s work, it seems, is never done. There have even been rumors that he will be the next Indiana Jones, and if Jurassic World is a big box office hit, he will likely be in at least one more Jurassic Park movie. Is the world ready for that many Chris Pratt flicks? Please leave any comments below!
