Tonight, on Dancing With the Stars, the night that fans of the series have been waiting for all season arrived, when the winner of the golden Mirrorball Trophy was finally revealed! However, there were two hours to sit through before that happened. Fortunately, the show managed to be entertaining, and it showcased great dances and music, which helped make the time fly by quicker.
The opening dance number on Dancing With the Stars was amazing. All 12 of the couples who started out the season danced in it, along with the judges and even the hosts of the show. Host Tom Bergeron said that there would be one more round of dancing by the three remaining couples. There were a lot of recaps of dances earlier in the season tonight.
Noah Galloway and Sharna began the night with the lowest scores from last night’s show, 72 out of 80 possible points. The other two couples both had perfect scores of 80 points. Dancing With the Stars fans voted, and chose which encore dances that they wanted to see the remaining couples dance tonight.
The first couple to dance on Dancing With the Stars was Riker and Allison Holker. They danced a Freestyle dance again, this time to the song What I Like About You.
Redfoo and his partner before he was eliminated, Emma Slater, then danced. They danced to Redfoo’s hit song, Juicy Wiggle. After their performance, the Dancing With the Stars judges showed clips and talked about their favorite dances of the past season.
Then, on Dancing With the Stars, Alfonso Ribeiro and Sadie Robertson danced. Alfonso won the Mirrorball last season. Tom Bergeron made the surprising announcement that the person who will be replacing him as the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos will be Alfonso!
After that, former competitors this season on Dancing With the Stars, Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson, danced to the song I Got Bills. Then, musical artist, Jason Derulo, sang his hit song Want To Want Me, and Emma Slater danced as he sang.
Following that on Dancing With the Stars, another former competitor who was eliminated, Chris Soules from The Bachelor, danced with his former partner, Witney Carson, to Footloose. That was followed by Nastia Liukin, Sasha Farber and Derek Hough, all dancing to Andy Grammer’s live performance of his song, Honey, I’m Good, and Willow Shields and Mark Ballas reprising the dance that they did on “Disney Monday,” to a song from Alice in Wonderland.
Fifth Harmony was the next musical group on Dancing With the Stars tonight. They sang their hit, I’m Worth It, and some of the cast of pro dancers danced as they sang. There was also an entertaining dance by Derek Hough and his sister, Julianne. They danced to Sia’s live performance of her song, Elastic Heart.
Finally, the three remaining celebs got to dance in the Final Round of the season on Dancing With the Stars. Noah and Sharna were up first, dancing a Fusion Dance combining elements of an Argentine Tango and Cha-cha-cha. They danced it to the Cold Cash song, Surrender. They were impressive, and the judges raved about them, giving them scores of all 9s, for a total of 36 points.
Riker and Allison Holker were the second couple to dance on tonight’s Finale Results episode of Dancing With the Stars. For their Fusion Dance, they combined the Salsa and Quickstep. They danced to the MKTO song, Classic. The judges and audience were impressed, and they got scores of perfect 10s, for 40 points, placing them in the lead.
The third and final couple to dance on Dancing With the Stars was Rumer Willis and Val. Their Fusion Dance combined a Fox Trot and Paso Doble dance and they performed it to Angus and Julia Stone’s hit, Big Jet Plane. The judges really enjoyed their dance, as well, giving them scores of perfect 10s, tying them with Riker and Allison with 40 points tonight.
On Dancing With the Stars, it was finally time to reveal who was the winner of the Mirrorball Trophy. The scores of the judges was combined with the votes of viewers across America to determine the result. In third place was Noah Galloway and Sharna. In second place was the celeb, Riker Lynch, and his partner, Allison Holker, making the winners of Dancing With the Stars Rumer Willis and Val!
