The man and woman who were shot yesterday in South Los Angeles have both survived, the Los Angeles police department’s Lt. Gordon Olson told the LA Daily News. Both the victims were taken to the hospital when the incident was reported and the police arrived on scene. The man underwent surgery today while the woman who was with him was in a stable condition.
The shooting occurred at 10:50 pm last night near the intersections of Menlo Avenue and West 70th Street. There have been no arrests in the case so far.
The names and identities of the victims have not been released yet and the motive for the aforementioned shooting is not known. Any more information about the incident is unknown as no witness has come forward to the police. Given the nature of the shooting, the police surmise that the shooter might be an acquaintance of the victims and was probably known to them.
