LVMPD on Scene of Shooting at the 5800 Block of Wesport Circle


According to Las Vegas Metro Police Department (LVMPD) law enforcement officers, multiple officers are currently on the scene of a possible shooting that took place around the 5800 block of Wesport Circle, close to Jones/Gowan. No other information has been released if the alleged shooter can been apprehended or is currently on the run. According to reports, there appears to have been no instances of injuries to bystanders.

The motive for the shooting unclearvas well, but currently under investigation by city detectives. Moreover, no eyewitnesses have interviewed as of now. The LVMPD is trying to get a physical description of the shooter to put a warning that an armed suspect is in that neighborhood.

This comes just two days after another shooting occurred when an armed man was shot by a LVMPD officer after an alleged burglary incident. After officer shot the evading suspect, he had an unloaded pistol on his person, according LVMPD police officials.
