Miami Police Seek Help in Armed Carjacking and Shooting


The Robbery Bureau of the Miami-Dade Police Department is seeking the public’s help as part of an investigation into an armed carjacking and shooting. The incident occurred at a convenience store at 16800 NW 47th Avenue.

According to investigators, the victim of the crime was driving a light blue BMW convertible with a model year from 2001 to 2004. The car’s tags were from Florida and read CVWA13. After the victim parked the BMW, he had a short conversation with the subject, who was standing outside of the store. The subject drew a gun and shot the victim, who tried to run away but fell to the ground only a few feet away.

After the victim collapsed, the subject took the BMW keys from the pocket of the victim and drove off in the car, heading westbound on NW 167th Street. The victim is in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

The subject is described as a thin, black male between the ages of 22 and 25. He was wearing a white shirt, black pants and a skully. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS and reference case number PD150516180222.
