On Monday, police issued an arrest warrant for a man charged with animal cruelty and reckless endangerment after shooting his miniature horse. According to the report, the neighbors of John Price, the owner of the mini horse, noticed that his pet horse was running loose inside of their backyard snacking on some strawberries they had planted in their garden.
To get the miniature horse out of their garden and back to its home, the neighbors had been shooing him until he returned to Price’s backyard. According to the police, as the neighbors were walking back towards their house after getting Price’s mini horse back into the yard, they immediately heard gunfire.
When they turned around to see what was going on, they realized that Price had shot and killed the pet mini horse right there in his back yard. Price’s neighbors, the ones who had filed the complaint against him, stated that Price’s pet horse has been left outside in the yard the entire night until morning.
Police said that due to a home surveillance camera system that was set up, the whole incident of Price shooting the horse was captured on video. Currently, Price is being held on a $50,000 bond.
