On Tuesday night, Rick Ross was arrested in Fayette County, Georgia and booked into jail, the second occurrence of being arrested for the hip-hop star in June. William Roberts, who goes by Ross, was apprehended last night by the Atlanta police authorities over an outstanding warrant for aggravated assault that was committed earlier this year.
According to initial reports, Ross was visiting a property he bought in Fayette County when he was involved in a physical altercation with one of the workers. During the skirmish, one of the workers, who has not been named, was pistol whipped by the hip-hop artist.
The rapper’s bodyguard was also arrested during the incident. He was arrested on the same charge.
Both Ross and his bodyguard were also arrested and charged with kidnapping and aggravated battery. They will remain confined in the Fayette County Jail as they prepare for their first appearance in court for a bond hearing later this week.
Ross was also arrested earlier this month after being stopped because the windows on his car were tinted too dark. He also received a misdemeanor marijuana charge.
