An elderly man was shot and robbed today, June 23 while he was washing his car in Fort Worth. The 77-year-old was not struck by either of the two bullets fired his way, and is said to recover after being hospitalized due to the incident. Police say they are still looking for the perpetrator, and would appreciate any public assistance with investigating this matter.
The area in which the shooting took place was around the 2400 block of Edgecliff Road, at the Squirt, Wipe and Go. Pascal Palos, the victim, told authorities that the yet unidentified shooter walked up to him and demanded he turn over his wallet. Following this, a gun was pulled out and the elderly Texas man was whipped with the pistol twice, on the head. He fell to the ground, at which point the other man grabbed the victim’s wallet and fired twice. Both shots missed Palos.
The robber is then said to have taken his leave of the scene via a bicycle. Police gave the statement that they are hoping to review security footage at the car wash in order to potentially identify the person who shot and robbed an elderly Texas man earlier today. The car cleaning establishment is said to be somewhere that Palos visits quite frequently.
