On August 31, 2015, at approximately 12:10am, Unknown B/M complainant (Driver) and witness, a B/F/42 (Passenger) were traveling Northbound in a tan Buick Oldsmobile when their vehicle started overheating. The complainant was able to take the Lovers Lane exit ramp and partially pull the vehicle over onto the right shoulder in the 6800 N. Central Expwy . The driver’s side was still protruding out into the right lane.
The witness exited from the passenger’s side and started flagging vehicles to move over. The complainant exited from the driver’s side and was immediately struck by a silver Jeep that was being driven by a suspect who is a W/F. The suspect left the location in an unknown direction. The complainant was transported to Baylor Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Next of Kin has not been notified.
The offense is still currently under investigation. The accident was file on case #202137-2015 & Failure to Stop and Render Aid was filed on case #202138-2015. There is no further information.
