Community Alert Death Investigation Assistance

201412548b679a4ddb2About This Investigation:
The Chicago Police Department is seeking assistance from the community in resolving an on-going death investigation. Over the Labor Day weekend, the Department recovered several body parts which appear to be from a child between 18 months and 4 years of age. The recovery was made from the lagoon in Garfield Park. All the body parts appear to be from the same victim. At this time, based on several factors, we believe the child to most likely have been African American or bi-racial with short, black hair, suggesting male gender-although female cannot be ruled out. Anyone who may believe that a child from the community is missing under unusual or suspicious circumstances is asked to call and report it.
