Narrative: Darryl Walton was arrested after he was identified as the man responsible for three recent robberies. The first incident occurred on October 5, 2015 in the 1800 block of W. Cornelia Ave. at approx. 10:20 p.m. A female, 58 was approached by Walton and knocked to the ground. Walton then took her purse before fleeing. The victim was transported to Illinois Masonic with minor injuries. The second incident occurred on October 6, 2015 at approx. 8:40 a.m. in the 800 block of W. Oakdale Ave. A 30 year old female was pushed to the ground and her purse and contents were taken. The third incident occurred on October 7, 2015 in the 4000 block of N. Hermitage Ave. at approx 6:15 a.m. A 26 year old female was pushed to the ground and her cell phone, laptop bag and contents were taken. Walton was also the driver of a stolen vehicle when detained by police. Walton was charged accordingly. No further information is available at this time.
